Summary
Cash registers operate on computers that use electrical power. To avoid problems of any kind, we connect an inverter to your cash register. But what exactly is it for?
An inverter for what?
This type of equipment is there to prepare for any power failure. When the current fails to reach our electrical devices, they stop immediately. This is particularly true of the computers on which your cash registers run. To avoid problems, it was invented the inverter whose main job is to maintain the electrical voltage for a certain period of time, sufficient to allow you to shut down your machines properly. It has batteries for this purpose. Usually the inverters we install leave you a 15 minute delay to stop your activities from the moment it beeps.
Some advices to be followed
- do not plug your small household appliances, like a vacuum cleaner, on this inverter as it is not designed to absorb this load,
- check that it is always connected to the mains in order to have an optimal battery chargee,
- from time to time, unplug the inverter inlet (stop your activities cleanly before) and check that the beep is resoning.
By following these few tips, you ensure a long life to your inverter as well as its proper functioning for the backup of your data.
We hope that this trick has allowed you to go a little further in the usage of your LuxTPV cash register. Do not hesitate to ask us for advice.
